The application along with self attested photocopies of the relevant documents have to be submitted at any of the Points of Service (POS) in your city. Please carry the originals with you for verification purpose.
No. If you are not in a position to visit the POS personally, the KYC Application Form along with the necessary documents can be sent through a distributor or representative, who can arrange to fulfill the KYC obligation and obtain the KYC Acknowledgement on your behalf.
There is no need to repeat the KYC process individually for each Mutual Fund Company / scheme. It is a one time process. Once the KYC procedure is completed in all respects, the investor needs to produce a copy of the acknowledgement to the fund where he / she desires to invest.
